Marc is an architect and urban designer with over 15 years of professional and academic training in architecture and the environmental sciences. Having worked previously with renowned landscape designers such as Diana Balmori and full-service architecture firms such as LRK, he has national and international project experience ranging from traditional town planning to urban redevelopment projects to mixed-use resorts. Marc’s unique skill set and critical perspective has made him an expert in sustainable community planning and Low Impact Development techniques. His understanding of the underlying scientific principles and environmental context of any given site, combined with his ability to design functional and dynamic places, enhances our goal to connect people with nature that pervades so many aspects of our work.
As one of the founding principals of PLACE Alliance, Marc is constantly seeking ways for appropriate architecture, good urban planning, and sound environmental practice to complement one another in the design of our projects. He is integrally involved in all phases of our design process, collaborating directly with our clients and design teams to help us continually exceed expectations. Marc also serves as our Alliance Director and, in this role, is responsible for both recruiting and coordinating with our strategic partners to ensure that we can offer the range of services and breadth of specialized expertise that any of our new projects or business ventures might require. Under his guidance, PLACE Alliance operates within a mutually supportive forum that is carefully constructed and meticulously managed to provide the framework for the unparalleled innovation and collaboration reflected in the originality and imagination of our projects.
