Sara is a project designer based in our PLACE Alliance New York studio. Since joining in early 2014, she has worked on a range of projects, including the Visioning Plan for Tivoli Lake Preserve in Albany, New York, the Schenectady Library Plaza Renovation, The Tribute Park Master Plan, and the Quail Street Green Infrastructure Design. She has become passionate about urban design and planning, downtown revitalization, and environmentally sensitive design, with experience in planning and analysis, site design, construction documents, graphic design, technical writing, and public outreach. She is also an active member of her community, serving on the Board of Directors for the Schenectady Greenmarket – a farmers’ market that has been fundamental in the downtown’s revitalization. Sara firmly believes in place-making: building on the local character of a place to create beautiful spaces that promote health, happiness, and well-being, and employs that belief in all of her work.
